Areas We Cover

Based in Long Eaton, working across the City of Nottingham and out to a roughly 15–25 mile radius — the Peak District fringe, the Amber Valley border, Rushcliffe, and north to Mansfield and Southwell. Every area below is somewhere we've actually worked, not a list padded out for search engines.

What's On This Page

  • Our 10 most-requested areas, each with its own dedicated page
  • Every other town and village we cover, with real detail per area
  • Local landmarks that shape how a job actually gets done

Not Sure If We Cover You?

  1. Check the list -- Most East Midlands areas within about 20 miles of Nottingham are covered.
  2. Call if unsure -- 0115-647-2443 — we'll say honestly if it's outside our usual radius.
  3. We'll still point you somewhere useful -- Even if it's not us, we'd rather be straight with you than waste your time.

Our Most-Requested Areas

These get their own dedicated pages because the work itself looks different from suburb to suburb — different soil, different property types, different access: West Bridgford for tight-access rear gardens and large hardwood stumps in heavy clay; Wollaton for mature pine and cedar work near Wollaton Park; The Park Estate for conservation-area rules and sandstone-wall access; Ravenshead for woodland acreage near Sherwood Forest; Southwell for orchard and period cottage properties; Woodborough & Epperstone for paddock and farmstead clearance; Beeston & Bramcote for river-edge willow and sandstone hills; Edwalton & Gamston for large executive gardens with wide access; Ruddington for narrow side-gate access and period cottages; and Bingham for boundary hedge and fence-line clearance.

Everywhere Else We Cover

We haven't built a dedicated page for every one of these yet, but we've worked in all of them. Arnold & Woodthorpe: dense northern-suburb housing, a lot of conifers and garden hedges — conifer stump grinding and self-seeded sycamore clearance along boundary lines are common jobs here. Carlton & Mapperley: elevated, sloped plots on clay-heavy soils, where grinding on a slope brings its own access and soil-stabilising considerations. Long Eaton: our home turf — long, narrow Victorian terraced gardens mean narrow-alleyway and terrace-access grinding is routine, often clearing the way for outbuildings or driveways. Hucknall: a mix of modern estates with young trees and older brick terraces; structural stump removal ahead of patio or decking work comes up a lot. Radcliffe-on-Trent: scenic, well-kept gardens with decorative trees; ornamental stump grinding and cherry/apple root removal without wrecking a tidy border. Cotgrave & Keyworth: mid-century detached and semi-detached housing; front-garden stump removal to make room for a wider driveway is common. Stapleford & Kimberley: post-war and older terraced streets on the Derbyshire border; straightforward, cost-effective backyard grinding and fence-line clearance. East Leake: newer detached properties with young gardens; orchard clearance and structural root tracing for new-build modifications. Sherwood & Carrington: long, narrow Victorian terraces with very restricted entry widths; ultra-narrow machine access and hand-carried equipment where a machine simply won't fit. Lenton & Dunkirk: dense student-housing and commercial-unit areas; overgrown garden clearance and land prep for landlords and developers. Clifton: generous plots on a former council estate with mature willow and birch; front-lawn stump removal to make way for off-road parking is a regular request. Bulwell & Basford: established northern suburbs with an industrial heritage and traditional terraces; boundary-wall stump removal and self-seeded sycamore clearance. Amber Valley and the Mansfield fringe sit at the edge of our working radius — get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether it's somewhere we can help.

A few features of the local landscape genuinely shape how a job gets done. Wollaton Hall & Deer Park: large parkland oak and sweet chestnut stumps, and the sandy-clay soils typical of western Nottingham. Nottinghamshire's sandstone caves: the city sits on soft, porous sandstone, which shapes how deep and how carefully we grind near basements and cellars, especially around The Park. The River Trent floodplain: saturated soils and a high water table make wet willow and alder stumps a different job in West Bridgford and Attenborough. Sherwood Forest & Newstead Abbey: home to some of the UK's oldest oak trees, relevant to large-scale pine clearance and acid-soil woodland work around Ravenshead.
