Stump Removal and Stump Grinding FAQ and Helpful links
What do you do exactly?
We remove all kinds of tree stumps. Our state of the art modern stump grinding machine grinds down and makes short work of usually difficult to remove tree stumps that are left behind and causing problems or being a nuisance to the owner of the property or land on which they sit. As professional tree surgeons and arborists we can safely grind down these stumps leaving just chippings and sawdust. This is the most proficient way in disposing of tree stumps as we can grind them down with our special carbide steel blades to below the surface of the ground. Once this service is completed it paves the way for the ground surface to be used for other purposes, including, hard and soft landscaping, building projects, residential and commercial, local councils, governments and utility companies like the electric and gas. Basically anyone who would like to remove these stumps, clear their land and put the land back to how it was.

Lots of reasons to remove a tree stump and have it ground down. If left to go rotten it can attract disease and fungi which can affect your other trees, shrubs, plants life. Stumps can re-sprout and grow again. Can i get a discount if there are many stumps to be removed
If there are a number of stumps to be removed on your property or land, we will always work out the best and most competitive price for you.
Can i hire a stump grinder machine and do it myself?
Of course you can, but i really do not advise this. The machines are heavy noisy and can work out expensive to power and the purchase of cutting blades. But the main reason is they are dangerous to people who have no experience, no safety clothing or received no training whatsoever in the use of this equipment. They can cause serious damage to the user and i am very surprised these hire companies let non-trained individuals use them. Please let the trained experts do this.
Will i be left with a big gaping hole after the work has been completed?
What we do is push all the stump chippings and dirt back over into the hole that has been created by the removal process. Some of the more larger tree stumps that get taken out can actually leave a small mound of these waste materials.
Is it possible to use any excess mulch left over from the grinding process?
Any left over debris which is just wood chips and dirt by the way, can be used as compost as it will break down over time depending on the weather and climate. Also good for your flowers and vegetable patch.
